What is Al-Garhy Engineering Academy?
Al-Garhy Engineering Academy is a professional Mechanical Engineering education platform offering structured online courses, practical projects, technical assignments, and verified completion certificates. Our courses are taught in Arabic and designed for working engineers and engineering students in Egypt and the Arab world.
Who can study at Al-Garhy Academy?
Our courses are designed for mechanical engineering students, recent graduates, and working engineers at any stage of their career. Each course specifies its recommended prerequisites. Beginner courses require no prior engineering experience; intermediate and advanced courses assume some foundational knowledge.
Are courses in Arabic or English?
Course content, video lessons, and instructor feedback are delivered in Arabic. Engineering terminology follows international standards (English acronyms and technical terms are used where appropriate).
Is this a fully online platform?
Yes. All course content is delivered online through the student portal. You can study from anywhere with an internet connection.
Courses
What courses are currently available?
We currently offer six Mechanical Engineering courses: Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks Essentials, AutoCAD for Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics Fundamentals, Manufacturing Processes, and HVAC Systems Design.
How long does each course take?
Course durations range from 6 to 10 weeks depending on the subject. This is a guideline — actual completion time depends on your available study hours per week. The platform is self-paced, so you can progress faster or slower than the guideline.
Can I enroll in multiple courses at the same time?
Yes. You may enroll in multiple courses simultaneously, subject to separate payment for each course.
Are courses updated regularly?
Course content is reviewed and updated as needed to reflect current engineering practice and software versions. Enrolled students receive access to updated content at no additional cost.
Enrollment
How do I enroll in a course?
Create a free student account, browse the course catalog, select your course, and proceed to the enrollment and payment step. Your course access is activated after the instructor confirms your payment.
Does creating an account automatically enroll me in a course?
No. Account registration and course enrollment are two separate steps. Creating an account gives you access to the student portal. Enrollment in a specific course requires a separate payment submission and approval.
Can I preview course content before enrolling?
The public course details page shows the complete course curriculum structure, what you will learn, and course requirements. Video lesson content is accessible only after enrollment.
Is there a refund policy?
Please contact us through the Contact Us page to discuss your specific situation. Refund decisions are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Payments
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept CIB Bank Transfer and Vodafone Cash. After submitting your payment, you upload your payment receipt through the platform. The instructor reviews and manually confirms your enrollment.
How long does payment verification take?
Payment verification is typically completed within 1–2 business days after receipt submission. You will receive a notification in your student portal when your enrollment is confirmed.
Is the payment secure?
Payments are made directly through your bank or mobile wallet to our account. You do not enter payment details into the platform itself — only the receipt confirmation is uploaded.
Can I pay in instalments?
Instalment plans are not currently offered through the platform. Please contact us to discuss your situation if needed.
Learning Experience
How is course content delivered?
Course content is delivered through video lessons organised into numbered sections. Each section includes the video lessons, downloadable resource files, assignments, and quizzes. You progress through sections at your own pace.
Can I rewatch lessons?
Yes. All video lessons remain accessible throughout your enrollment and can be rewatched as many times as needed.
Is there a discussion or forum feature?
Enrolled students can ask questions through the lesson discussion area. The instructor responds to technical questions within the platform.
What if I fall behind on my studies?
The platform is self-paced. There are no strict deadlines for completing lessons. Assignment and project submission deadlines are specified per assignment, but extensions can be requested through the platform.
Assignments and Quizzes
Are assignments mandatory?
Assignments are required for course completion. Submitting and passing the required assignments, quizzes, and project is necessary to qualify for the course completion certificate.
How are assignments graded?
Assignments are reviewed manually by the instructor. You receive a grade and written feedback on your work. If an assignment does not meet the required standard, you may be asked to revise and resubmit.
What types of files can I submit?
Assignments accept PDF files, CAD files (DWG, SLDPRT, SLDASM), and image files (JPG, PNG) depending on the course requirements. Each assignment specifies acceptable file formats.
How long does assignment feedback take?
Instructor feedback on assignments is typically provided within 3–5 business days of submission.
Certificates
What is required to receive a certificate?
To receive your course completion certificate, you must complete all lessons in the course, submit and pass all required assignments, complete all section quizzes, and submit and pass the course project. The instructor then reviews and issues the certificate.
What information does the certificate show?
The certificate shows your full name, the course name, your final grade, the date of completion, a unique certificate ID, and the Al-Garhy Engineering Academy seal.
How can I download my certificate?
Issued certificates appear in the Certificates section of your student dashboard. You can view and download the certificate as a PDF directly from the portal.
Can someone verify my certificate?
Yes. Anyone can verify a certificate — including employers — using the public Certificate Verification page. No login is required. Enter the Certificate ID to see full verification details.

I cannot access my course after payment — what should I do?
Please check your payment status in the Payments section of your student dashboard. If your payment shows as Approved but the course is not accessible, please contact us through the Contact Us page with your payment reference.
I forgot my password — how do I recover it?
Use the Forgot Password link on the login page to receive a password reset link to your registered email address.
